In Windows XP, Vista, and 7, DavkaWriter can use Hebrew filenames only if Windows’ Hebrew language support is fully installed and the “default locale for non-Unicode programs” is set to Hebrew.
Here are links for instructions to set up Windows’ Hebrew language support:
- Windows XP: http://www.petri.co.il/install_hebrew_on_windows_xp.htm
- Windows Vista: http://www.petri.co.il/install_hebrew_on_windows_vista.htm
- Windows 7: http://www.petri.co.il/install-hebrew-on-windows-7.htm
Make sure to follow the last step to change the system locale, or Hebrew filenames will not work.
